This past Friday DAVINCI Hotel and Suites hosted a World Whisky Dinner at the Penthouse, with the Johnnie Walker reserve team on board pairing each whisky with the five course meal.
Dom De Lorenzo, the 2015 World Class Winner Mixologist, was sharing his knowledge on whisky at the Chef’s table, whilst Executive Chef Sylvester Nair took the guests on a culinary experience. We were very privileged as we had our very own Legacy Logo ice blocks for the cocktails. (Thank you to Diageo for this surprise). We are truly so honoured to be associated with such a brand.
The guests were asked to have a Blue Label tasting on the patio whilst the dining room was being prepared for dessert. The whole room was in darkness with UV lights highlighting the ‘glow in the dark’ desserts. Once the guests stepped back inside it was a mesmerising experience, as they had not expected such theatre.
With guest appearance by Chef Nti, the evening was one not to forget. Known for her incredible style, inspiring food creations and fashionable friends, TV chef and celebrated fashionista, Chef Nti has merged her two passions – food and fashion – to bring out her new range of elegant, African inspired aprons.
