Saint Patrick’s Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick (Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig, “the Day of the Festival of Patrick”), is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick ( c. AD 385–461), the foremost patron saint of Ireland.
The Commodore and Portswood Hotels have over the past few years celebrated this tradition by having a GREEN TABLE in the foyer of the Hotels.
The tables are stocked with typical Irish Treats and of course Guinness Beer. This tradition is always very well received by our Irish guests.
Ireland also beat England in the 6 Nations Tournament to win the 6 Nations, the Triple Crown and the Grand Slam which made this day all the more worth celebrating.
